  • Three satisfactory letters of reference (e.g., minimum rating of ‘good’ in all letters), including:
    1. an academic reference from a faculty member who taught the applicant at the graduate level;
    2. a reference from a direct workplace supervisor of the applicant within the past 5 years; and
    3. a nurse in a leadership position who can evaluate the applicant’s actual and potential contributions in the profession of nursing;

  • Graduate Supplementary Application: Faculty members' research interests as well as those currently available to supervise PhD students are listed on the website. From that list, initially please identify on the application form 2 or 3 faculty members who are available to supervise PhD students and are doing work that coincides with your own interests.
